Cycle 7, Episode 11: "The Girl Who Grates"

After watching this episode, it’s unclear to me what the title means.

Michelle went home last week, so the twins have been split up and we’re left with the final four: Eugena, Amanda, Melrose and CariDee.

The models all meet with Nacho who is a flamenco instructor.

Nacho Blanco sounds like a the name of a somewhat upscale Mexican restaurant. Their bartender has mutton chops and wears too much gel in his hair.

He’s pretty short compared to the models.

The final four pair up with male dancers and Nacho teaches them some flamenco steps.

Miss J joins the top four for dinner.

We are introduced to the beef between CariDee and Melrose.

CariDee says Melrose is fake and would lose it if Melrose won the competition. Melrose says CariDee has no problem being vulgar. #foreshadowing

After practicing at home overnight, the models compete in a flamenco challenge wearing lovely gowns.

Eugena wins and picks Amanda to share her prize with her. Their reward: some clothes.

Melrose cries after the challenge. She says she’s frustrated at herself because she messed up the moves.

Since when is dance her passion???

Also, no one else buys it. They say Melrose is a sore loser.

At their photoshoot, the models learn Tyra is going to be onset coaching them.

The assignment is that they’ll be partnered up and floating in water. Their set is someone’s backyard pool and the show was apparently too cheap to heat it.

Everyone is extremely cold in the water. Eugena is visibly shivering.

But Mr. Jay cuts her no slack.

Tyra’s back on her Spanish kick.

CariDee appears to be unhealthily cold the entire time she’s in the water. She finally asks for a break and then Tyra, Mr. Jay and the medical team all tend to her.

Tyra and Jay scold her for not speaking up sooner, but you know they would have dismissed her concerns if she had. They’re just looking for any reason to appear like they’re teaching something.

Melrose, who cried when she didn’t win the dancing challenge earlier, says that CariDee is now the one seeking attention.

Well, well, well.

CariDee has to sit out for the last part of the shoot, so Amanda does the rest of it by herself. They say that if Amanda gets a good shot, they’ll edit it in with one of CariDee. It sadly still doesn’t help Amanda. Also, aren’t they always bitching about have to edit photos?

Why was this water so damn cold??

Tyra looks great contorting herself in this bathtub. But I bet the water was warm.

At panel, Twiggy is dressed like an adult Disney princess and her skin looks like she could have used some sunscreen years ago.

Melrose outshines Eugena in this. They both look beautiful, but Eugena struggled to float.

Both CariDee and Amanda are about the same in my opinion. But I do think CariDee is stronger.

Although Eugena is critiqued for her poor performance, CariDee lands in the bottom with Amanda. CariDee stays and Amanda goes home. She’s so sweet and very appreciative when she’s eliminated.

Amanda and her sister Michelle acted in a couple of indie movies and took some modeling photos together.
